Camera

I have tons of things that I want to post to the blog but unfortunately I do not have a camera. I have been using my phone as a camera for a while now and it takes somewhat decent pictures but no where near the quality needed for my blog.

 I am planning on purchasing a new camera but I have no idea what I would like to spend or get...

In a dream world, I would like to get a camera that I wouldn't have to replace for years like the Nikon D3100 but spending $650 on a camera is out of my price range despite looking around and finding some deals that brought it down to $500.


I have borrowed my parents camera to take a bunch of pictures of my dog, Emmie, when he was a puppy and gots some great action shots like this:

He sleeps in the oddest positions... this is actually pretty normal for him..

He sat this way for most of the 14 hr drive from NC to Cape Cod. If he wasn't here he was sitting on the center console which he seems to think is still an option despite gaining nearly 50 lbs since this photo was taken.

I just love how I caught him in the air.

I am leaning towards a camera in the $100-$200 range but I do not know which one would be the best option to take great photos for the blog.  I had heard the Nikon Coolpix cameras were pretty good for point and shot cameras. Any Ideas anyone?
